Our Mission: To salute the achievements of the world's finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Lucie Awards
The photography community from countries around the globe will pay tribute to the year's most outstanding photography achievements presented at the Gala Awards ceremony, held at the Beverly Hilton, the home of the Golden Globes on December 7, 2003. Honors will also be given for Lifetime Achievement, distinguishing some of the world's greatest men and women whose life's work in fashion, photojournalism, advertising and fine art merit the highest acclaim by their peers. The Luice Awards is a not for profit organization. All the proceeds from the 2003 event will benefit two photography organizations: Women In Photography International and En Foco.

Discovery Awards: The Photographer of the Year Competition
IPA invites passionate photographers, professionals and amateurs alike, to be recognized as International Photographer of the Year by a board of esteemed photo editors, curators, gallery owners, art directors and other luminaries from the international photography community. The award includes a $10,000 grand prize. In an effort to cultivate and showcase emerging talent, all nonprofessional entries are eligible for the New Discovery Award, lauding best up-and-coming artist.

In addition to these top prizes, all entrants will compete for certificates of achievement in 7 major categories that include Photojournalism, Advertising, Nature Photography, Architectural Photography, Portraiture, Specialty Media and Fine Art.

IPA Annual Book Publication & Gallery Exhibits
Competition-winning entries will be published in the IPA Annual Book, distributed throughout the international professional community and exhibited in some of the most prestigious galleries and bookstores.
